Fall Beginning, 5k and 10k Group Leaders Needed!
Want to share your love of running with others while training beginning runners or those just getting back into shape?
CARA is currently looking for Fall Beginning Running, 5k, and 10k and Running Lite Group Leaders. (Wednesdays at Lululemon - Michigan Ave, Wednesdays at Lululemon - Oak Brook and Thursdays at Lululemon - Halsted. All programs begin at 6:30 p.m.) All paces are needed and Group Leaders receive their training for free, among other perks.

Fall Volunteer Opportunities
CARA is currently looking for dynamic and enthusiastic people to help out with an array of programs and events in the late summer and early Fall. We are currently looking for volunteers for:
- Chicago Half Marathon Aid Station on Sunday, September 12th - CARA Ready to Run 20 Miler on Sunday, September 19th - Bank of America Chicago Marathon Start Operations on Sunday, October 10th

Attention: Runners, Students, and Electric Personalities
The Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) is assembling a team of very outgoing and personable volunteers with high energy and a love for the running community. As a CARA ambassador, you will be on-site at Chicago area races and running events communicating verbally and through your actions the benefits of CARA membership.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Maintaining inventory of event materials and raffle giveaways - Communicating event logistics with race officials - Set up and tear down of CARA tent, table, supplies, and gear check area - Provide gear check services to CARA members - Engaging runners at the tent and throughout the event grounds - Educating runners about CARA, programs, events, and the circuit. - Encouraging runners to sign up as CARA members - Taking digital photos at each event - Compiling and sending in post event recaps for each event
Requirements: - Willingness to work on a volunteer basis 3 to 5 hours per week (1 to 2 days a week) - Access to vehicle is a big plus - Willingness to speak openly to groups of people and one-on-one. - Must have access to a computer with working internet connection, and e-mail account. - Flexibility to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed. - Ability to lift 35 lbs, load, set up, execute and tear down promotional items - Must have a cell phone
