This eight-week program is a great introduction to the sport for new runners and those looking to improve their endurance. Summer Half Marathon Training - First Long Run is May 3

Dream it... Believe it... Train it... Achieve it! Own the half marathon this summer!

Give us 12 weeks and we'll give you a great half marathon! The CARA Summer Half Marathon Training Program prepares you for race day. Just start out at four-miles and gradually build your way to the half marathon distance. Our expert pace group leaders and certified coaches will give you the tools you need to succeed. Click here to learn more about the program and what you get when you register!

This program targets a mid-summer half marathon, like the Rock 'n' Roll Half. It can also be combined with our Chicago Half Marathon program for runners looking to do BOTH races this summer!

Chicago Half Marathon Training - First Long Run is June 22

Challenge yourself. Run farther or faster. Own the half marathon this summer.

If you can run four miles, you can do a half marathon and CARA can help! It’s true!  Join our Chicago Half Marathon Training program and receive:

  • Your personalized, day-by-day training plan for 12-weeks leading up to race day.
  • A group at YOUR pace! (Pace Groups from 7:30/mile to 12:00/mile, including Run/Walk)
  • Coaching from a USATF Certified Coach and Boston Qualifier.

Lagunitas Six Summer Nights - Starts July 8

We've been taken over by beer! CARA's bar-hopping series, the Six Summer Nights Series is back and better than ever with Lagunitas Brewing Company. The Lagunitas Six Summer Nights is a great way to get in some mid-week miles and enjoy a lovely mid-summer's night! We'll meet for six weeks, visit six bars and go on six runs.
