  • Group Long Runs:
    • Saturday's @ 7:30am at Morton Arboretum (Lisle)
  • Mid-Week Runs / Speed Training:
    • Wednesday's Speed Training @ 6:30pm at NovaCare Naperville (Naperville)

​​Boston Performance program runners may also participant in CARA Winter Marathon Training Program runs: Long Runs - Saturday's @ 7:30 a.m at Waveland (Chicago), Speed Work - Wednesday's @ 6:30 p.m. at Wilson Track (Chicago).

Program Benefits:

  • 15-Week Training Plan: CARA Director of Training Leah Bohr provides a 15-week training plan customized especially for those prepping for the Boston Marathon.

  • Group Training: Group long runs and speed training. Gain support, security and camaraderie with the support of a group!

  • Location: Train at Morton Arboretum's hilly and scenic terrain.

  • Boston Ammenities: Boston Bus, first access to CARA hotel room block at thge Boston Park Plaza and private gear check in Boston.

    • Boston Bus: INCLUDED - CARA runners will have a private charter from the Boston Park Plaza to the Athlete's Village in Hopkington on race morning where you may remain in a climate controlled bus until time to go to your start wave.

    • Boston Gear Check: INCLIUDED - CARA will be able to check their bag at the Athlete's Village charter bus with CARA, who will bring your back back to the Boston Park Plaza. Note: The Boston Marathon does not offer start line area gear check.

    • Pre-Race Dinner: We will once again host a pre-race dinner in Boston. Training program runners will get first access for themselve and their families. The cost of dinner is not included in the training program fee.

    • Post-Race Social: We will meet up post-race to celebrate our races at a local venue!

  • NovaCare Hotline: Gain access to CARA's exclusive 24/7 Injury Hotline with Novacare Physical Therapist ready to support your injury questions.

  • Expertise: A weekly info packed newsletter from CARA Director of Training Coach Bohr and free entry to the CARA Super Clinic.

  • Program registration does not include entry or registraiton fees for marathon race.
  • *Includes 2018 CARA membership 
  • **Note: The Morton Arboretum requires a membership or admission fee to access the area where the training program will occur. A single day access is $14 or a year long membership is $60. Runners may add a Morton Arboretum annual membership with their training registration. CARA has subsidized the membership cost. Discounted Morton Arboretum memberships are available only to runners training at The Morton Arboretum and only for the Morton 1 annual annual memberships, which is available through CARA.
  • ***Virtual Option: Includes customized training plan, newsletters, guarranteed seat on Boston Bus, Boston gear check, and a long sleeve training tech shirt. Virtual runners will have access to the hotel block after February 1, 2018. Virutal runners do not have access to the discounted Morton Arboretum annual pass rate or group training runs.
