CARA Circuit Corporate Teams

The CARA Runners’ Choice Circuit has long been a source of camaraderie for local runners. Runners of all levels annually participate in CARA Circuit Races to chase personal and competitive goals, to complement their year-long training programs and to enjoy the camaraderie of the CARA running community.  There is no fee for teams to sign-up and participate, and team's runners are NOT required to be CARA members to score for their team.

Team Sign-Up

The top three corporate teams will receive awards.

Team Make-Up:

Team members may include company employees and their immediate family members (spouses, children). Employees must regularly log at least 30 hours to be a team member. Teams need at least four runners at each race to score and may include any number of males and female runners.

Each corporate team member receives an age-graded score for each race. Team placement is determined by the combination of the top four runners age-graded scores. The top team receives 15 points, second 14, and so on. Males and females are combined in this category. There is no benefit to having runners of a specific gender or age on your team, as age grading gives each runner a score based on the level of their respective gender and age. Unlike other club categories, in this category, only a teams five best scores are counted for their point total. In this category, only corporate teams are included, and corporate teams are not included in other club categories. Ties are broken in this category.

Runners can score for their corporate team and for their local running club team at the same time. Corporate teams must submit a roster prior to racing to the club scorer (details [coming soon]). Club rosters may be updated through the season, but a runner must have been on the roster prior to the first race they score in. Thus, no retroactive scoring. Clubs send a roster in excel with first name, last name, city, state, gender, and date of birth. Runners do not have to be CARA members to score for their corporate team.

Registration is free. Teams should select a team captain to complete the registration sign-up and be a point of communication from CARA and to the scorer.
