Core-Strength-Power Training

Core-Strength-Power Group Training

  • Join expert Coach Bill Leach for this small group training program designed to strengthen the body's "core" - that is, the muscles of the hips, abdomen, back, and torso.

  • Sessions also include strength and power exercises for the muscles that propel you forward while running.

  • Runners of all ability and fitness levels will get results and have fun with this program.

  • This small group training program is limited to 10 participants per session, providing you with the opportunity to interact with your coach on a personal level.

Upcoming Sessions: 

  • Participants are recommended to attend two sessions of their choosing each week. Each session lasts approximately 60-minutes.

  • January, March, and October sessions meet indoors at 2640 N. Halsted, Chicago at Mondays and Thursdays at 6:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

  • May, July, and September sessions held outdoors at the CARA Board (across from 2800 N. Lake Shore Dr., Chicago) Mondays and Thursdays at 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Sessions move to 2640 N. Halsted when inclement weather is present.

Rate Details:

  • CARA members receive a 15% discount on program fee.

Credit Card Fees:

  • Credit card registration fee payments are subject to a service fee by our registration provider. To avoid online credit card fees, send the check for the amount owed to CARA, 549 W. Randolph St, Suite 704, Chicago, IL 60661. Provide full name, e-mail and note that check is for CSP program fees and session requested. CARA will then contact to complete registration.

Terms / Details:

  • Fees are not prorated for late entry.

  • Refunds: No refunds will be issued for any reason.

  • Credits / Deferrals: Participants may withdraw from the program prior to the first day of training (Monday, week of first group session) for any reasons and receive a credit to any CARA program or event of equal or lesser value. Credit expires at the end of the next calendar year. Complete terms and conditions will be provided upon request.
