What a month! June has absolutely flown by, as CARA programming has picked up significantly as we head into the summer months. Our CARA Summer Marathon Training Program runners are into their fourth week of training, while 'Go Run, Run Crews, Circuit Races, and Track Workouts have continued to run strong with new runners joining each week. June kicked off with the Cosley Zoo Run For The Animals 10k, part of the CARA Runners' Choice Circuit. Competing in a series of local races, runners on the Circuit are working towards earning individual and team awards.
CARA Summer Marathon Training officially started on June 7! Carey Pinkowski, Executive Race Director of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and CEO of Chicago Event Management, stopped by our CARA Montrose site to talk with runners and help them kick off their first long run of the season.

Hydration stations are back on the Lakefront Trail! CARA hydration stations, collaboratively supported by Fleet Feet Chicago and Gatorade Endurance, provide trail users hydration along the Chicago Lakefront Trail, as well as at various trailheads at suburban CARA training sites.
