With only two races remaining in the 2021 CARA Runners’ Choice Circuit competition, local clubs and teams are racing to the finish! Next up on the Circuit is the Lake Bluff PTO Pumpkin Chase 5k. Check out the current Team/Club standings going into race weekend.
In the Combined category, Evanston Running Club leads the charge with a 6 point lead. Tied for second place are Fleet Feet x New Balance Racing Team and Fast Track Racing Team. However, Oak Park Runners Club only trails by 3 points in fourth. This competition is definitely one to keep an eye on in our final two races!
In the Open Men’s competition, Fast Track Racing Team has a hold on first place. Evanston Running Club currently sits in second place, with Elmhurst Running Club and Oak Park Runners Club tied for third. In the Open Women’s competition, Fleet Feet x New Balance Racing Team claims a narrow lead on first by three points, trailed by the Glen Glen Runners in second. The Oak Park Runners Club rounds out our top three in this category. Taking a look at the Master’s categories, Fast Track Racing Team leads the Master’s Men competition. Evanston Running Club and Elmhurst Running Club hold second and third respectively. On the Women’s side, Fleet Feet x New Balance Racing Team also claims first place. They are followed by Oak Park Runners Club in second and Evanston Running Club in third.
On to the Veteran Men’s competition, first place belongs to the Elmhurst Running Club. They are followed by Oak Park Runners Club and Evanston Running Club in second and third. In the Veteran Women’s competition, Oak Park Runners Club is sitting in first place. Fleet Feet x New Balance Racing Team is holding second, while Elmhurst Running Club sits in third place.
Rounding out our Club/Team competition are the Senior Men and Women’s categories, dominated by three teams. On the Men’s side, Evanston Running Club is in first place, followed by Oak Park Runners Club and Elmhurst Running Club in second and third. On the Women’s side, Oak Park Runners Club has a claim to first, with Evanston Running Club holding second and Elmhurst Running Club holding third.
