MCCORMICK PLACE – The 4th edition of the Miles Per Hour race saw unprecedented participation and a new record on the women's side as Calista Stefaniak broke through and claimed her first MPH Cup title. Previously, Stefaniak had finished 2nd (2024), 5th (2023) and 2nd (2020) in the race.

On the men’s side, the day saw Dan Pettitt take an early lead and never relinquish it as he covered an impressive 10.45 miles. Last year’s champion Norb Nieves and 14-year-old rising star Phoenix Viger duked it out for 60 minutes with Norb claiming 2nd and Phoenix Viger taking 3rd.

Overall, participation was up 16% this year and nine different states were represented as the event continued to gain interest for the unique format and one-of-a-kind venue. Runners covered the 2.4-mile course as many times as they could in 1-hr and were cheered on by various community running groups.

The course featured over a dozen car displays and two EV car tracks as it weaved through the Chicago Auto Show floor. Congratulations to all the runners and thank you to all the volunteers, sponsors and partners that made it a special day!

(Top 3 overall are determined by distance covered within the 60 minute timeframe. Chip mats are placed every ~0.2 miles to catch runners mileage. Total miles run is determined by the last chip mat crossed before the 60 minutes is up. Since a runner can finish anywhere along the 2.4 mile course, spotters are positioned throughout the venue to determine positions 1st through 3rd)
