On Sunday, February 11th, over 600 runners took to the halls of McCormick Place for the Toyota Miles Per Hour run that incorporated the famed Chicago Auto Show. It was a fun and thrilling atmosphere as the clock ticked and runners made their way throughout the auto displays, over the sky bridge, and through the Lakeside Center to see how much distance they could cover in the hour.
The course was approximately a 2.4 mile loop that started right under the Chicago Auto Show globe.
The course encompassed numerous car displays, as well as the CDE test track, making for a truly unique racing experience.
The one-hour run is a welcoming race distance for all ability levels given the unique nature of everyone finishing at the same time. Once the horn went off at 60 minutes, everyone shared in celebration of accomplishing the duration and were given their globe-inspired finisher's medal.
Toyota Miles Per Hour also makes for a spectator friendly event, as friends and family can catch the runners as they complete numerous loops of the course or view from the level above that overlooks the Grand Concourse.
The top performing runners were presented the MPH Cup award for the most miles run, and the 2nd and 3rd overall runners received custom license plate awards. Top overall runners are listed below.

Top Overall Females:
